This brings to mind some questions. Why do these things happen in the middle of the night? It's not like any HVAC needed to be running? Also- someone got there pronto with an excavator. You have to wait your turn here, and hope they eventually show up! Why would a contractor risk potential damage/explosion/etc. when there's other work to do. One would think it must pay really well. But who pays? and when? Some years ago when a drunks new steel barn up the road burned, we were out in the field when someone pulled in here. I suppose they could have been looking for pond/water. But I somehow got the idea they were looking for someone with a hoe to pull the smoldering thing apart. Local contractor(again who has people with money in hand waiting for him to show up) got right there with his excavator.
