I just went and looked at the pictures of the tractors on the sale again and I didnt see very many that I would have given much over $500 for..Stuck engines, missing parts, and rotten tires turn these in to money pits when restoring them...I am glad that they sold high enough to keep the scrappers away..
Late last year I went to a sale at Pomona,KS with 100 old tractors..One scrapper got 36 of them at prices ranging from $200-$600 each...A real nice GVI MM on LP sold for $600 and was scrapped..
A few weeks after that I went to a sale north of Tulsa,OK with 70 old tractors..Lots of running tractors sold for $300-1000 each..A nice running SC Case sold for $475 and two nice H Farmalls sold for $450 each..An M Farmall with all new tires sold for $1250..A dozen running 2N,8N,and 9N Fords sold for $300-500 each..A good running KTA Twin City sold for $700..
