I would say emissions is the reason for the decreased power output. That"s also one of the reasons that the newer diesels can not get the fuel economy of the older diesels. The local Massey dealer himself told me that. I like the Masseys myself. As far as Kubotas, have I owned one? No. Would I own one? No. I don"t think they are junk or anything but I"ve always said they are cheaper than the others for a reason. I"ve often referred to them as the Hyundai of tractors. I may get blasted for saying that...lol.
