Aboot 40 years ago, the first G John Deere I bought was a 1938, I gave $25.00 for it, and when I got it to run I had around $400.00 tied up in it, paint and everything. A lot of the tractors I bought cost around $50.00 or a little more and most were in running condition. Some of them I spent more hauling them home than I gave for them. Most of the styled tractors were being used on the farm and weren't too collectable untill the late 1980s and early 1990s. If I would have known the antique tractors were going to increase in price like they have, my field would been full of them.
