Well stick, I don't think that you are comparing apples to apples either, unless Chief has flotation tires on that Deere. Flotation tires work at far lower pressure than conventional traction lug tractor tires, and they flex in order to conform to the surface. If you get tractor tires too soft the tire is pulling only on the edges and the middle will be pressed up in and not holding any weight or helping with traction. You want adequate pressure to hold the middle down so that your tire is pushing evenly all the way across.
