My tractor tires.... They're so old and cracked and brittle... Had a 2" x 3/16" piece of some sort of organic something puncture one of my front tires... Same happened to a rear tire last year... Found the offending piece and easily snapped it in two with just three fingers... wow....
Anyway, lots of good tread still on these tires, they're just old (and tired)... I was wondering if I could line the tires with something that would make them more resistant to punctures (I've seen something for bicycle tires, just haven't seen anything for tractors).... My TractorSupply has a roll of 4"x15' of conveyor belt for $44. I was thinking I might cut me a length of that and put it between the tube and the tire. What I need to know is if anybody has done anything like that and if it caused more trouble than it was worth?
