I think it's just timing, many 84 & 85 series means people bought new all at the same time and never replaced. A 674 used to be the BIG tractor on the smaller farms around here...
574/584 have different engines, D206 in the 584, D239 in the 574.
H shift was 1982 and newer (solid red tractor) while inline was white/red tractor (78 to 81)
384 totally different design (newer 444) and 385 was a D155 powered variant of the 484.
Tire spec depended on dealer, the wider front tires seemed to be more common in the late 80's with the 85 series.
