Its hot, humid, miserable and bug infested. No shooting does till the middle of the season. I always heard that the politicians liked to have the season open early to shoot a big buck in velvet. No doesn't make sense to me either. I would rather have it start later and have another month on the end. When it finally gets cold enough to enjoy hunting. I generally don't go till about 6 to 8 weeks into the season. Last year I did not get one. Luckily my Son did and had the whole thing ground up thinking one of us would get another to have steak to put in the freezer. In fact we are having some for supper that is two seasons old. Sure would love to come up there and hunt with yall Particularly in Jerry's Condo stand..:) Ron
