.............
in my opinion none of the BIG three would do something like this .........
That is, as you said, YOUR opinion and since you live in America you are entitled to it and can even voice your opinion in public ...... that is my opinion
May be his opinion, but he's RIGHT! The big three would not do what Toyota is doing.... a few cases in point. Ford has known issues in the early 5.4 V8s blowing the spark plugs out of the head... no action from Ford (but your friendly dealer will helicoil it for about $500, or more!). Known problem with lower rear control arms on Expeditions rotting out and breaking... no action from Ford (but they will sell you the parts for an insane price!). Leaf spring brackets rusting and rotting out on Ford Rangers... local shop replaces 2-3 A DAY! No action from Ford.
My next truck might have to be a Toyota, have had very good luck with a '92 Corolla and an '03 Matrix. Only reason we have a Chevy is we got a very good deal on it from a family member, otherwise want nothing to do with Government Motors.
Ok ...... that is your opinion ....... like I said 'since you live in America you are entitled to it' ....... I see that you are not a Ford or GM fan, well, neither am I and so we AGREE on that :) I am, also, NOT a Toy fan either and so we DISAGREE ...... It is what is, I reckon.

After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents. A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point
