Go over to Deeres website and open up the parts book for the 4010. I beleave it is like the 3010, and the bottom links can be extended, if they arnt rusted to badly. IRC that is how I relized the length of the 3 pt on our 3010 was adjustible, and for the same reason as you- pto driven implement s PTO shaft was too long with the 3pt arms all the way in. Once we adjusted them longer, the set up worked- intill a sepeerate un related problem appered.
