Goats do make good pets. We had a toggenburg that my mother bought when I was 3 months old. When my younger brother and I didn't drink the milk anymore, she became a pet-even house broken. She lived to be 13 years old. Growing up, we called cinnamon graham crackers "goat crackers" because we gave them to her as treats and my grandfather would break the filter off of a cigarette and give them to her. She did ruin the back seat of a good Pontiac when my mother and grandfather were taking her to have her bred.
