all the motion sensors I have seen you put in dusk to dawn mode by turning power off for 2 or 3 seconds, and put back in motion sensor mode by turning it off for 10 seconds or more. You could just wire the switches in series through both switches. That way either one could do the interruption. Some motion sensors have instructions not to bypass them and apply power directly to the switch as it will damage the circuitry..
Your existing switch probably has one wire going to the motion sensor, and the other wire going directly to the lamp. The 3rd wire is the hot line form fuse box.
