About two weeks ago I had asked on here what was a good radiator flush. I have a 98 Chevy Blazer that was flushed at a repair shop 16 months ago, a new radiator and heater core installed at the same time. The coolant was looking bad again so I drained it. Some one said to use Vinegar to flush it. I put 1 1/2 gallon of vinegar in it and let it set over night. I flushed it out the next morning and boy did it break the rust loose. I refilled with water then ran for a 1/2 hr and drained again. I then put new antifreeze in it. It now needs flushing again as you can see by the pictures. A lot of debris settles up by the radiator cap and transmission cooler. I'm glad to see the vinegar worked and now I'm thinking of putting a strainer type filter inline for my heater core.
