Thursday marks 4 weeks of rain at least every other day or two in central MN. SE MN has it worse- some farms.... no corn planted yet. I"m done with beans on my few acres, my renter has fields he can"t plant. BUT! I seldom gripe about too much rain. RAIN MAKES GRAIN. Sure, it causes problems, and lost crops, but I"ve seen enough drouth. 30 years of dairying......wet years, weeds grow better than some crops- they can be chopped and ensiled.....cows can eat weeds and produce milk. Cows can"t eat dust. I"ll take excess rain over drouth any day!
