Western South Dakota:90% of the winter wheat has been abandoned. Didn't germinate last fall. Early planted spring wheat looks good. Later planted looks ok, just to cold to be growing much. Not much corn out here. Not much else planted yet. Was getting ready, and then we had a week of cool cloudy, rainy, damp weather. Tried planting milo yesterday, but still to wet. I know it needs to be in the ground, but can't get it done! Hopefully today will work. Everything here is late this year.
