When I was growing up, our cat was an outdoor animal. No leash law and everyone let their dogs run free. Our cat learned to jump onto the nose of a dog with both front paws and hang on. Those claws in that sensitive front nose "bulb" must have been terrible pain. I still see the dogs running with the cat hanging on. Plenty of noise from the dog.
