What transmission?? How far did you tow it?? Was there any oil left in the rear end while you where towing it?
You say you have oil at the supply line. Put a gauge on it and see if you have any pressure there. Should be 130-145 psi.
The tires locking up makes me think you did not have it in tow position and where back driving the transmission. Then pulled it a fairly good distance with the rear end dry. So you have a bearing/issue in the rear end now.
