If you are looking at GM they made a decision some years ago to "distinguish" the two truck lines. How that decision is implemented in the "new" GM I'm not sure, but the GMC's were trimmed out a bit nicer than the Chevy's. I know when I bought my 2010 Ford, I wound up with a Lariat because I could not find an equivalent trim GMC or Chevy 4x4 at the local dealers.
By the way, if you trailer especially with one with brakes, INSIST that the truck they provide has the factory brake controller already installed. It can be added later but will cost nearly twice if the dealer does it and the dealer has to at least reprogram the computer to make it function.
