I have never seen our Asparagus grow this much in one day. i posted a pic of this bed yesterday discussing using salt to control weeds. We had our first hot and humid day here today. Temps in mid 80s and dew point hovering just above 70. Sprinkles, but no heavy rain. The Asparagus grew 12-16" today. Many stalkes are the size of my thumb. Stalks were tender as could be. 6 meals go into the freezer tomarrow , plus some will go on the grill for supper tomarrow night. We just dip the stalks in a little Italian dressing, and throw them on untill they brown just a little. Good eating with either some grilled beef or pork. Loren, the Acg.
