Hi If his truck is an early 99 is it a superduty like mine that has 98 build date and sold 99. The early 7.3 had a smaller turbo fitted. That's why it never went as good as yours. Mines been chipped and has 500.000 kms on it. The guy I got it from beat the c@#p out of it, and never serviced it. It still starts good has a little blow by and takes of sideways like a striped ape if you tramp on the pedal. From what I hear as long as you drive like you own it not stole it 7.3 are good with a chip if serviced right. Guys seem to think with mines service history, it might not make the million without a re build. If you had the 6.0 they say they are terrible reliability stock and chipping those and driving it like you own it can be bad news. Those of us guys with 7.3 have a generally very reliable truck motor compared to the newer ones. Regards Robert
