had one that did the same thing,after many things of trail and error I found that the exhaust manifold had a small crack in it and when it got hot it took out the intake gasket. After you ran it a while the intake would suck to much air and it would quit untill it cooled off. Fought that sucker for a year untill I luckily came across the crack. Also when I had carb problems I sent it to burry carb service and havent had a problen since,hope this helps Bob
