i once had an ezgo 36v that i replaced the 6-6v trojans with 3-12v gel-filled batteries from a ups system. they worked great, never leaked and 3 years later when i sold the cart they were still going strong. my current 04 ezgo came with its orginial trojans which failed one at a time starting 2 years ago. finally replace the last two this spring. all were replaced with a non-labeled battery (made by trojan)12v wet cell with good results. mine cost $99 each versus $169 for the trojans.
