About 25 years ago I helped my neighbor pull his well with my 8N. We fixed up a big tripod affair with pulleys and rope. We simply pulled it straight out, twenty feet at a time. The well was set at 150 feet and had 1 1/2 inch plastic pipe. The guy had a home made collar that he slipped under each coupler and the pipe was supported by the tripod. To this day I don't know how one of us didn't get hurt.
We could have used a pickup or something else but the little tractor was easier to move around in the space we had to work with.
