Using a tripod a rope and pulley at top of the tripod and a rope around the pulley on the 9 N I can slam a 1/4 or 2 inch well in to 50 ft. in a short order. 50 ft. well with a 30+ head- I can pump with a shallow well system.
Problem is the pulley on the Ford runs to fast--I removed pulley and bolted on a small rim--rope catches on fire and burns.
A lot of friction........would an old cub cadet with a 3 speed tranny and the rubber off of one wheel give me enough power to lift the weight. WEIGHT MIGHT BE 150 LBS. Need something that runs slower RPM , but that has decent power..What about an electric motor??? Thanks for any ideas.....
