As Royse indicated, that is an interesting situation. People raise and eat just about any other kind of animal, but balk at eating horse meat. I bought some meat one time that I THINK was horse meat. Was supposed to be beef, but had an entirely different texture. It was quite tasty. Horses eat basically vegetation just like cows, so they are cleaner than chickens. If it was USDA inspected and approved, I would have no problem eating horse meat.
