I'll tell you what,I've always turned the bulls out Fourth of July so we start calving around April 10 or so. No more! With the nightmare that these cold springs are getting to be,I don't want anything on the ground before the last week in April. If that fails,I'm going to the first week of May.
The 1998 Farmers Almanac said that the next 20 years (from then) would be cold and wet because of the shrinking and cooling cycle of the sun. They said the oceans cool so much slower than the land and air that the relatively warmer water would cause cold and wet springs til the oceans cooled in realtion to the land. So far,they haven't been wrong.
