Transformer stolen from utility pole

BUTLER TWP. - A daring thief cut down a utility pole and stole an electrical transformer, township police said.
Police said the utility pole was cut down in Beech Mountain and a transformer fastened to the pole was stolen. The pole was found near the lake in Beech Mountain.
Police said wires were attached to the transformer and pole, which is owned by PPL
