I just found out that we lost another WW2 vet. He used to be my neighbor, but I never heard him talk of his service time. He enlisted in the army right after graduation from high school. He served in the European theater and was a Member of the Second Divvision 23rd Infantry Regiment, Company B, during WW2. He was involved in three major campaigns, the Battle of the Bulge, the Ludendorf Bridge and Taking of Berlin. During his service he was a BAR man and fought in Belgium, Germany, France, Luxemburg and Czechoslovakia. He received numerous medals and among them were, American Theater Bronze Star, Purple Heart and French Belgium Re DE Goerre Victory Medal. When he came home, he went to college, got a BS in Elementary Education and taught school. He moved out of the community into a high-rise apt. and I lost track of him. He was 87. One less of the Greatest Generation. Paul
