Last time I was there (a couple of months ago) the son who had been running it was no longer there and Mr. Fitts grandson was running it along with a lady in the office who had started working there when Mr. Fitts was still alive.
They were always very nice and helpful. Had a lot of Massey Ferguson parts. There's a guy named Rice (I believe) in Turberville, VA who is heavy on the I-H parts.
There were two Fitts yards, the large yard on the "outskirts" of Cascade and another yard in "downtown" Cascade that was abandoned after Mr. Fitts death. There were a lot of rusted pieces of tractors and equipment sitting around the abandoned downtown location. Is this what's going to the scrap yard? If so,maybe they're just cleaning up and not going out of business. Hopefully that's the case.
