I replaced the hyd pump on a 240. Filled the reservoir and started her up but the pump is cavitating terribly to the point of dragging the engine down when at idle. I thought perhaps I did not have enough fluid in so I put in another couple of quarts today and tried again. Same thing, even after multiple cycles of the 3pt. This time, foaming hyd fluid came out of the overflow on the tele-depth valve. What else should I check? It"s definitely moving fluid well; 3pt moves up and down rapidly.
