Just retired my 96 and come and get all you want parts. They had a problem with the one tank over filling the other. Each tank has a shuttel valve in the pump that allows return fuel into the tank that is supplying fuel. The fuel pressure opens the return line to the tank. They get stuck if you only use one tank and will overfill the wrong tank with return fuel.Use the clip on release tool and it should come off. Later Bob
