If you mean the same thing I had on my 1950 "H", the starter locking in place before it could spin the engine, I fixed mine by going to 12 volts. Mine used to just go "Cha-chunk!" from time to time, and lock the starter in place. Had to remove starter, jiggle it, and re-install to fix it. Switched from 6 volts over to 12 volts, and she really starts now. Never a problem.
