They didn't copy anyone back in mid '60,s when their small bikes took over sales here in USA. The simply filled a market gap that US companies were too smug to admit existed. The only reason they are now copying the "harley" look is because they have reallized that Americans are so superficial they will buy for looks before function.Harley is good example of that. When the baby boomers turn 70 , Harley will again be in dire straits. Had it , done it , sick of it!
