Old, I am about to plant 50 more pounds of potatoes and I want to try your method of just covering with straw. Do I just plow the ground, cut up the taters and put them on top of the soil? How close do you put them? How much straw do you cover them with? I am trying to make enough this year to can for us and our two sons. Thanks, Richard PS: I still have about 60 quarts from last year, but you can never have too many. I could live off taters and dry field peas a long time if I had to.
