As stated the rotors are not any thicker than they absolutly hafta be. Turning them once will put them at the Minium thickness. I"ve always driven Fords, cause I work for Ford Store & I"ve never had problems with brakes. What does happen to my brakes it the lining will pop off the metal backing because of rust get behind & pop the lining off.. I live in hilly area & I don"t use much brake, have had people follow me & they say my brake lite don"t work, I said they do if I push on the brake & I show them. 04 F150 4x4 not my dailey driver 72K & last month took the factory installed pads off. Rotors didn"t jump so I use Motorcraft pads & didn"t turn the rotors. My Wife on the other hand will burn the brake pads off her car in 20K... I"ve seen her drive with one foot on the gas & one brake in town.
