Dad has a 9N out here with the wrong drag links on it. Bottom line-both front wheels point out about 30 degrees. He's already replaced the tractor with a Ford 2600 diesel, and the 9N mostly just sits around waiting for either my Farmall H or his 2600 to break down. He told me to sell it if I can.
Most likely, whoever buys it will want to put it to work. I did a quick survey at the tractor show last Fall and didn't see any N series Fords. Naturally, after any sort of test drive, a potential buyer is gonna be scared off by the front end alignment. But I've also heard on this board that any repairs made to an old tractor won't be recovered when trying to sell.
For that reason, I won't be doing a ring job on it to cut down on the smoke. But as for the steering issue, should I fix that before listing? Or should I just sell it as is?
