My chicken house sits about 15' away from my machine shed. I like to turn my chickens out into the barn yard in the summer time during the day to eat grass and weeds, bugs, etc. The problem I have is that they want to go into the machine shed and make a mess. I even had one hen that would jump up onto the work bench and scratch everything off and then lay her egg on top of the work bench! I got tired of that so back to being locked up in their pen and (bare)chicken yard. How can you train chickens to stay out of the other buildings? I know, dumb question.
