I can remember that place being talked about when I was a kid in the 1970's. No doubt he bought a lot of it before the collecting craze started in the US. The rare stuff he probably did better on because that stuff looked hopeless to the previous owners at the time. I remember that during the 1970's that scrap was barely worth the oxygen and acetylene plus gas to handle it. An owner of some odd piece thought he did very well to get maybe double what scrap would have been at the time.
