tired iron auction

I ended up with the Minneapolis, the United, the Mccormick W-12, Wallis 12-20 and the Schramm compressor. Enough to keep me busy for quite a while!
 
Would like to talk to you about Schramms. I got 2 that need radiators. I looked at that one and lots of other items at the sale. Had the fight the urge to bid, just got enough to do as it is. Email is open. thanks

I don't think any of those tractors will be going to scrap any time soon.

Probably well over $1,000,000 just in tractors, and none of them are in running condition! What a return on investment! If he had $100,000 tied up there I'd be surprised.
 
I can remember that place being talked about when I was a kid in the 1970's. No doubt he bought a lot of it before the collecting craze started in the US. The rare stuff he probably did better on because that stuff looked hopeless to the previous owners at the time. I remember that during the 1970's that scrap was barely worth the oxygen and acetylene plus gas to handle it. An owner of some odd piece thought he did very well to get maybe double what scrap would have been at the time.
 
And they say folks don't have any money! Good to see this stuff won't be going to the scrap man.
 
I had my eye on the Ford AA truck. If it went a little cheaper I would have grabbed it. It was too nice to cut up and shove a 454 big block in it.
