Rollie, I have always experienced a strong anti-union sentiment on this website. My comments below are meant to be humor.The gentleman in the photos and many like him paved the way for what we have today and often were met with extreme resistance when trying to organize these Charters.. I am not"proud to be union" but instead I am thankful to be union.Those who did not work in organized mines wished they did in most coal regions.All who labor today wether union or not should be proud of the sacrifices these early workers made. Most union discussions here go bad quickly and it is good to see this one did not.[so far anyhow-and it wasn't about that really]]. You need to bring everything down from the attic and see what else is up there. Thank you for posting these pictues.
