My church was founded in 1927. Part of the original building is still in use even though it's been replaced at least twice since the original.
It's not a large church, nor does it have a large following, being out in the country. There are a number of elderly folks who attend and several have special "places" they like to sit. They invite newcomers openly, but if someone happens to sit down in the wrong place it's almost comical to see the reactions. I really think it would be good to establish a way to have reserved seating. Maybe for a little extra donation yours could put names on the parking spaces...
