Tractor transmission in Neutral. Open the fuel shut-off for the Pony engine ( on the dash).. Crank the Pony engine, using the choke to get it started (might need to tease the pony throttle too). Allow the Pony to warm up enough to run well at reduced throttle, before engaging it.. Reduce the Pony engine RPM , Pull the De-Compression lever of the Big Engine and EASE the Pony Engagement lever back to engage the Pony and turn the Big Engine..Open the throttle of the Pony engine.. Watch for good Oil Pressure on the oil gauge for the Big Engine.. Once oil pressure is up, release the De-Compression lever and advance the Diesel throttle to above Idle throttle and it should start.. Reduce the Pony throttle AND turn the fuel OFF to the Pony engine.. NOW, the Important part...!! WATCH for the RED light to come ON and SHUT the Pony Ignition OFF..
