Both our local clubs pull 'percentages'.It is a great equalizer.The smaller tractors often 'outpull' the bigger ones.One club pulls the smaller tractors first,working up to larger ones,according to weight.The other one simply pulls in order of check-in.Pulling percentages against 'yourself'(bragging rights)lets everyone play-poor boys(like me)to "rich guys",field tractors to 'pullers',rust buckets to hi-dollar 'restores'.If we gave trophys/prizes,it would would soon become a 'richmans' game-the poorboys would get pushed out.Sometimes/often the rustbucket field tractor will outpull the restored puller. We ALL can play and have a good time without "competeing'
