I used to be a parts manager at a John Deere dealer and something they told us years ago was that not every company makes every filter. They all do various filters and trade around. Some filters are proprietary, however. The glass fuel filter used on many tractors (Deere's number for it is AR50041) is made by Stanadyne, PERIOD. Everyone's glass filter is made by them, or at least it was at one time. Mike
