Those look like wood frame windmills. I barely remember that Dad had a wood frame windmill until he got a galvanized frame windmill in the early 40's.
I helped my brother topple the galvanized windmill in 1980 as he no longer needed it on the farm. He used some of the galvanized when he put together a hitch to pull 2 IH 6-row planters together to plant beans.
When he retired, he passed the word around and most of his machinery was sold to neighbors before he ever had to advertise what little equipment that he had left to sell.
