I'll be getting some real life farm activity scene pictures in the next day and days to follow. I want to express my appreciation to all of those who have told me to keep the pictures coming and hope I don't get bored posting them. It makes me happy to be sharing them.

John I enjoy pictures of all kinds as they say a picture is worth a thousand words. That is a busey farm in that picture.

Those look like wood frame windmills. I barely remember that Dad had a wood frame windmill until he got a galvanized frame windmill in the early 40's.

I helped my brother topple the galvanized windmill in 1980 as he no longer needed it on the farm. He used some of the galvanized when he put together a hitch to pull 2 IH 6-row planters together to plant beans.

When he retired, he passed the word around and most of his machinery was sold to neighbors before he ever had to advertise what little equipment that he had left to sell.

Neat, wife's sister and family lived in Batavia, Ill. for over twenty years. Remembering seeing a sign in downtown Batavia saying windmill capital.
Since then always looked for names on windmills cause we have our far share here in Kansas. Never new the real name. Never found a Halladay windmill.

Very nice! I liked all your pictures, thanks for posting them!!! I think pictures sre a good way to avoid cabin fever arguments that seem to erupt on the site here ,I dont like fighting, and sure do like pictures!

Wheatfarmer that is fine, I would love to see pictures I don't have. I just plan on posting one a day so I don't run out too fast.

Its hard to type what I was tying to say,I liked your idea of lawn equiptment, need another good idea for tonight, can you think of another good one? Thanks ,,,Larry

Saw this working wind mill at an auction in IN. last October. It was painted so shiny it was hard to photograph in the sun.
