Bruce, Back when we were kids the lower part of the sidelill was covered with thorn apple trees, and belonged to a neighbor. above the pic of the snow covered pond we had an apple orchard and a saw mill where the feeder is poking out of the snow. I spent many a hour sort of helping my Grandpa saw wood in the mill powered with a Case L tractor. When our family bought the neighboring farm we cleared the brush off with a Case 310 crawler and hired a good friend who had a Cat 6 to push out several hedge rows and build the fire pond. The one remaining hedge row is a line fence with the lower neighbor who is now Amish.. As far a Toboggen runs, We cut timber on the upper farm picured on the RH side of the pic of US 20. When I was a teen aged kid we logged off the ridge, we had skid trails from top to bottom, and busted a few hand sleighs and toboggens, and an arm zooming down those old skid ways. Close to a mile top to bottom. Loren, the Acg.
