Well we have had more in one storm already this year, and much heavier stuff. The wifey wanted to go for a ride around the farm, and neighborhood, so we did. These are the views of the neighborhood. We took about a 6 mile ride. aroud the farm. The next to the last pic is of US RT 20 asending to it's highest point east of the Miss. river.. The last is the sky blue pink sunset over the farm at a little after 5 this evening.

Although I"m not a fan of snow, those are some gorgeous pictures...especially with the lovely blue sky.
83 degrees here at the tip of Texas today, humid and wind pretty steady around 25 mph. Sunday high to be 90. There, that should melt some of your snow!!!
Oh, I planted tomatos today. Yes, outside. Had to make a shield around the cage to keep the wind off the poor little things.

Great pics Loren! It was beautiful day here today, so bright I had to were sun glasses! Nice bright blue sky's too, gonna make for a cold night. Keep warm.

Loren ACG,
Great photos. Looks like your driveway took the brunt of the snow build-up. Thanks for posting.

Larry,
Come up in the summer and I will introduce you to your unknown kin baring your same family name. He is a Sun Bird, that lives near me. We talked about him several years back on this forum. Lots and lots more things to see and do here also, to the north of me in the Adirondacks. You are more than welcome here, any time.

Bruce,
Back when we were kids the lower part of the sidelill was covered with thorn apple trees, and belonged to a neighbor. above the pic of the snow covered pond we had an apple orchard and a saw mill where the feeder is poking out of the snow. I spent many a hour sort of helping my Grandpa saw wood in the mill powered with a Case L tractor. When our family bought the neighboring farm we cleared the brush off with a Case 310 crawler and hired a good friend who had a Cat 6 to push out several hedge rows and build the fire pond. The one remaining hedge row is a line fence with the lower neighbor who is now Amish.. As far a Toboggen runs, We cut timber on the upper farm picured on the RH side of the pic of US 20. When I was a teen aged kid we logged off the ridge, we had skid trails from top to bottom, and busted a few hand sleighs and toboggens, and an arm zooming down those old skid ways. Close to a mile top to bottom.

Looks like you have silos all around you! Lol, I like seeing all the farms and there silos heading west on rt 20 looking north over the Mohawk valley! It would be heading toward you or cherry valley. Such nice views,.

(quoted from post at 21:20:51 02/09/13) do any of you on here know how far east and west rt 20 goes it is about 10-12 miles south of me. i know it goes across il and iowa but beyond that i don't know.[/quot

Virgil, From what I can see it starts in Kenmore square in Boston where Commonwealth Avenue splits into routes 2 and 20. it is interesting to drive it in MA and NY where you can see the tourist trap type businesses that were on it and in business before the MA pike and NY thruway opened.

Loren ACG,

As soon as I hit "submit" on my previous reply, I thought that red barn pic was not Clinton Camp...

You got great plenty of white stuff to play in anyway, though.

Loren, I've been wracking my brain trying to remember the name of the man that owned the farm on the otherside of Rte. 20 from you with all the Harvestors 20-25 years ago. Nice pictures of your uncles farm. Thanks Chuck.
