I use a Toshiba Netbook while watching TV...never had an issue with it...almost 3 years old now..for the desktop..I build one 4 years ago..cost me $308.00 with a DVD burner..2 gig memory..bought a barebones kit from CompUSA online..they have many choices and options. When I was working for a large municipality, we had about 30 Dell desktops in the shop and very, very little problems with them. They ran 27/7 and most in a greasy, dusty, changing temperature environment. I have an Imac on the back porch and I think that is a good place for it..LOL
