I'm kind of saddened by it. Another example of corporate America pimping off their products. Use any icon. Use any tactic. Cheapen any virtue to sell a product. By implication, if you buy a Dodge pickup you will suddenly have or develop all of the work ethic, all of the gumption, all of the Godliness of those people in the photos. It doesn't work that way. Perhaps it's television in general that inures us to our lack of virtue - bombarded by so much advertising as we are. The ad touches us on a very emotional level and gives us a sense of longing. For what? Not for the fine human qualities Paul Harvey so eloquently speaks of. But for a toy, a consumer item, a Ram Tough Truck.
